Now Read This Noticeboard…

A somewhat slapdash, oddly arbitrary summary of Events, Gatherings, Topics of Interest and general information which might intrigue fans of the funnybook biz.

You too can be parts of the comic creative process!

Help revive a lost classics of action and adventure!

Drew Ford has been saving neglected graphic narratives since his days as an Editor at Dover Graphic Novels and after bringing a bucket load of great books back to us, has been doing the same sterling job with his It’s Alive imprint in conjunction with IDW.

Here’s part of a recent message from him to me…

I need your help to spread the word about my current IndieGoGo campaign to publish AIRBOY #51.

During the 1980s, Chuck Dixon wrote AIRBOY #1-50 for Eclipse Comics.  Issue 50 ended in a cliffhanger, and fans have been waiting 30 years to see what happens next!  Well, Chuck Dixon has returned after all these years to continue the story of AIRBOY, with issue 51, through my IT’S ALIVE imprint!  He is joined by rising stars Brent McKee (pencils and inks) and Jok (colors and letters).  And in celebration of this event, I have commissioned 8 variant covers (7 can be seen on the campaign, and one will be revealed later) by Dalibor Talajic, Don Perlin, Emma Kubert, Graham Nolan, Jok, Matt Kindt, and Paul Gulacy!  I am thinking your readers might like to know about the return of AIRBOY!

I have included the link to the campaign, along with a bunch of artwork from the campaign.  If you need anything else just let me know.  I hope you can post/write something about this incredible event!  Thanks so much for your help!
