So it’s a relief and a delight to thoroughly recommend a comic-cover-art book where the visuals are as extraordinary as the material they were selling.<\/p>\n Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon produced Preacher<\/strong> for five years; a wry, cynical, powerfully satirical, humanist condemnation of religion, politics, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Causes\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and the Status Quo. It was also one of the best adult comics ever produced. On the front of each issue – as well as sundry spin-off specials and miniseries – was a cover by that master of human expression and deadpan under-playing: Glenn Fabry.
