And in the Twin Cities of Keystone and Central, deceased villain <em>The Top<\/em> has returned in a borrowed body\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 Meanwhile, wheelchair-bound Zolomon finds it impossible to accept his new condition\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<p>Phil Winslade applies his gritty realist art-style to <em>&#8216;Helpless&#8217;<\/em> as explosive teleporter <em>Peek-a-boo<\/em> returns and Zolomon presses Wally to use his time-travelling technology to undo the attack which incapacitated him.<\/p>\n<p>Unable to comply, Flash abandons the angry profiler but is totally unprepared when Linda becomes a casualty of Peek-a-boo&#8217;s detonating departures and utterly unaware that the furious ex-cop &#8211; obsessed with changing his recent history at all costs &#8211; has stolen the time-bending Cosmic Treadmill\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<p>Kolins &amp; Hazlewood return for the eponymous story-arc <strong>Blitz<\/strong> and <em>&#8216;Rogue Profile: Zoom&#8217;<\/em> wherein Hunter Zolomon&#8217;s tragic history is fully revealed and the horrific consequences of his desperate, doomed act become apparent before <em>&#8216;Rush&#8217;<\/em> finds him as the newly-minted <em>Zoom<\/em> hunting everybody Wally holds dear\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8216;Into the Fast Lane&#8217; <\/em>reveals the hideous effects the Treadmill have wrought on Zolomon as his campaign of terror extends to Wally&#8217;s hometown: his malign warped intent to inflict maximum suffering on his erstwhile friend, before the spectacular, brutally shocking conclusion <em>&#8216;The Final Race&#8217;<\/em> wherein all the Flash&#8217;s greatest allies gather to protect Wally and Linda, but simply aren&#8217;t enough to forestall a ghastly tragedy\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<p>The culmination of years of high-octane tension and action, this tale cleared the decks for a startling new direction and is prime Fights &#8216;n&#8217; Tights fiction of the highest quality.<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00a9 2003, 2004 DC Comics.
